RM of Prairiedale’s story
The Rural Municipality of Prairiedale No. 321 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 13, 1909. It lies in the west-central part of Saskatchewan, right beside the Alberta boundary.
The village of Major sits within the RM and is home to the municipal office, where council meets on the second Tuesday of every month. Smiley is also located inside the RM's boundaries, and Dewar Lake is an unincorporated locality there too.
Visitors to the area may know it for the Great Wall of Saskatchewan, listed as the RM's attraction.
